I don't really like this mouse. It works, but it feels like a sharp edged, cheap piece of plastic. What I do like about it is the fact that it is thin from top to bottom. I could not find any other thin non-wireless mice, but if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know. I don't want one of those itsy-bitsy notebook mice.I bought this mouse because it is identical looking (same size and shape, totally different materials and feel) to another mouse (unfortunately wireless with short battery life) sold on Amazon that I think is just wonderful. That mouse is this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004WIOOI0/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1I really wish that this Manhattan Mouse had the same quality feel and materials as that Cosmos mouse that looks exactly alike. It is a wonderful mouse, but the problem is that it just eats too many batteries. If you're looking for a white mouse with a red glow from the optical laser that shines through the top plastic housing, you found the right one! Don't get me wrong, the mouse works well enough, with an occasional need to click it to "wake it up". Thicker plastic would make all the difference to make this a much nicer looking mouse. But then again, you can't beat the price. If you don't want to pay $15-$20 for a mouse from a big-box store, then this one will do the job.Update: May 2013Either the optical sensor is starting to fail or there is a short in the cord. It still works in a pinch, but you often have to try to move the cursor several times before it finally goes where you want it to. Probably got my 4 or 5 bucks worth out of it, but I probably wouldn't buy it again. Lowered from 4 stars to 3.Sometimes the hump-bump of a mouse is too much for my wrist - being on the computer every day for hours a day.As a change, I thought I would use a flatter mouse for awhile - then switch back, and this mouse fit what I was looking for, inexpensive light, flatter and it is comfortable. It doesn't have a solid feel, at first impression, being very light. Though I was surprised though that it worked as well as it does. The edges are a bit 'sharp' at first, being used to a regular bump mouse, but I got used to the new flat edges pretty quickly - overall a nice mouse - which will alternate on my desk, and possibly even travel with me.Upsides: It is cheap and light. It has a eye-catching design. Has been working just fine for the past week.Downsides: It looks cheap and you will specially notice it as soon as you touch it. The light of the red laser inside is noticeable, and could potentially be irritating at night and dime light. The click got stuck on the first day. Although it is working fine now. Although most of the times there is no problems, There were few time that the driver was not working and I had to disconnect and connect again. So overall, I would suggest spending a little bit more and getting something better.I ordered this low-cost mouse because the trackball stopped working on my old apple mouse. This mouse does not cost much money, and, except as noted below, it works. That's about all I can say that is positive. On the negative side, it wakes up my sleeping computer, and does not let it go back to sleep; I also have to disconnect and reconnect it if I turn my computer off--otherwise, my computer won't recognize that a mouse is attached. The track wheel works, but it bothers my index finger since it is too textured and hard to turn. (I know that might sound ridiculous, but it is true. I guess eventually I would get a callous if I were to keep using it.) The edges of the mouse are not rounded, so it is not comfortable to hold. In buying this mouse, I was motivated mostly by price, but now that I have it, I realize that I have gotten what I paid for. This is a wonderful mouse to match my knock-off apple keyboard ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003PHJJV6/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00 ). The cable is nice and long, clicking is fine, scrolling is smooth. My only gripe about the mouse is the tracking is somewhat unreliable at times. Occasionally if I move left, my cursor will jet off to the right slightly. This is just a small annoyance, and is the only thing keeping me from rating it 5 stars. Also, per other reviews, the red light from the optical sensor does indeed shine through the thin plastic top but hey, even with both of these factors considered, I'd say that 6 bucks is still a screamin' deal.I bought this mouse as a backup and have used it sparingly. Still, I think it's a good product, and I'm not too crazy about the wireless mouse I bought since I purchased the Manhattan Mouse product. That review was mentioned elsewhere. For this mouse (the Manhattan) model, it's reliable, it does what it needs to do, and I have no complaint, including the price I paid. What else can I say about a mouse, except this one doesn't eat cheese? This is a very lightweight mouse which I think will be good for traveling. I bought instead of a more expensive mouse because I wanted to try it in cheaper form before buying $45.00 one. The cord is a little short about a yard long. I think it's a decent mouse especially for the price but I would not suggest it as a 365 days a year daily mouse. It just not substantial enough. I am glad I test this one as I think it's too low for my hand to be comfortable.Bought this for my laptop bag and didnt want a bulky mouse, this is perfect. My old mouse died so I had to get a new one but wanted something small and light, this was ideal as it is small light and cheap, it works well and I would recommend buying it if you are low on money and need a new mouse that will hold out :)Dal costo e dalle recensioni non mi aspettavo di certo un mouse da gamer, però è proprio un oggetto scarso. In primo luogo è arrivato danneggiato.
